On November 9 in Munich and on November 16 in Cologne, a lecture by the well-known science journalist and podcaster Ilya Kolmanovsky – “Scientific Results of the Year” will take place.
This is a vivid science stand-up for adults about the latest discoveries of 2025.
What if a virus can save lives and artificial intelligence can become a parent? Why do ants, humans, and even micepush the familiar boundaries of what’s possible?
Ilya Kolmanovsky has gathered the most important discoveries of the year and will explain how they change science, medicine, and our understanding of the future.
You will learn:
how scientists introduced a virus into the human brain to cure a severe disease;
how two male individuals managed to have offspring and even became grandfathers;
how one queen learned to give birth to slaves of another biological species;
and whether it’s true that someone has already become pregnant by artificial intelligence.
The lecture will be fascinating for adult audiences, but teenagers will also find a lot to be amazed by.
Ilya Kolmanovsky is a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, science columnist, and author of the podcasts “Naked Mole Rat”and “One and a Half Mole Rats.”
Every day, he studies new scientific publications, talks with researchers, and visits laboratories to share complex discoveries in an accessible way.
His lectures are live communication, an exchange of ideas, and a chance to understand what’s happening in science right now.
